FYI boys and girls. The info at the website nascarsetups360-2.tripod.com may be helpful, but if your looking at running online/offline races "without" assists, most of those setups will become ULTRA loose. They are mainly for running races with assists on. Great post though WardBurton07!!!
Hopefully people will be a little forthcoming with some setups like they were for 2005. EA really blew it with this game, and the default setups are not even close! If members are willing to help out I will give some of my setups away.
Heres an easy one:
Talladega
Tire pressure: 30 PSI (I don't run with less. it will slow you down) Fender Flare: N/A Rear Spoiler: N/A Front Springs: 1% Rear Sprongs: 50% Wedge: Wedge is a little tricky on 06 at Tally. It all depends on how you run. If your running "online" alot with "limited assists" you should run with your wedge set at +1.5 to +2.0. This will help you hold the bottom ALOT better at the higher speed the assists provides(you still need to lift a little in the turns, but should still hold a fast speed of about 210mph). If you run with no assists, you can run with your wedge set as high as +4.0 but your car will push a little in the center of the turns. You will be faster on the straights though. You will need to play with it a little because it will vary based on the line you run. Either way I still recommend running with a +2.0 because most of the guys I have seen online are running with 2005 setups(+4.0) and I own them at the bottom of the track on the last lap!(especially with tire wear on) Gears: 4th gear needs to be set at 80. I run a manual trans and have tweeked 3rd gear as well. If your running a manual(I highly recommend it) you will be faster off the line at the start of the race. So play with 3rd gear a little. You should set it so you shift into 4th gear at a speed around 167.
FYI - Don't plan on taking alot of polls if you set your wedge down below 4.0. Your wedge setting will determine your top speed on 2006. But with a little lower wedge setting your car will handle better and hold the bottom longer than the higher settings. I personally take a poll maybe 1 out 10 starts (and I race against some really strong drivers) but i win about 50% of the time. It's all about handling and tire wear. Even at Tally!
Thats my story for Tally. Hopefully it helps a few of ya out.

I think EA outdid themselves this year. The team control aspect opens up a whole new level of racing. It's got it's rough spots, but overall a kick ass nascar game. Wish I had more time to play it lol. I am having difficulty getting around the track with the default setups. If I come up with anything good I'll be sure to post, but the big reason I'm here is because I haven't come up with anything good yet. ;D ;D

No problem jrsfan06. If someone else would post any setups I would be happy to let a few more of mine fly! I have been doing this for a long time, but it is very hard for me to find the time to hit all these setups with all the different series. I personally am looking for a good setup a Cali. I run in a league and cannot for the life of me find a good setup that the tires stay under me for longer than 19 laps! (We run 50% races, full damage, no assists, and full tire wear). SO COME ON BOYS, STOP HOARDING THOSE SETUPS!!!! THEY ARE ONLY AS GOOD AS THE DRIVER ANYWAYS!!!!

I must agree and say that 05 was great. It had all the things that I thought should've been put in in nascar 2000![like skill points] also, the soundtrack was one of the best ea has ever done..........next to madden and nascar 2004. Nascar 06's soundtrack just flat out sucks! And it's way too easy. I still love it though. well, i gotta go
See ya! Gribster
