Ok guys here is the setup I said I would post. This isnt the setup I currently use, but it is a very good beginner setup and will give you the opportunity to win; including ranked races. This will average 48.2 in Q-fying, but I have ran as low as 48.066 with it.
This is how I used to set my car up for 8-10 lap races. The setup is quick, and VERY tight. Having a tight car is usually better than a loose car at Daytona.
MAKE SURE YOU PRACTICE WITH THIS SETUP. Since it is tight, you want to make sure to find the right line. But you should be readily available to take bumps in the draft and be able to hold the bottom line.
Its also not a bad idea to take your Linearity/Responsiveness settings down to 70/30.
Here you go...
BASIC- Leave the same. NEVER TOUCH THE BASIC SETTINGS.
Aero-
Splitter- 4.500"
Grille Tape- 90%
Rear Wing- 0 degrees

Camber- 1.8
FR- 48.0 PSI
Camber- -4.9

RR- 46.0 PSI

Front toe in- 1/8
Rear toe in- 3/32
Weight-
Wedge- 52.8%
Front Bias- 50%
Left Bias- 54.2%
Gears-
Diff- 2:86:1
1st- 1.68
2nd- 1.55
3rd- 1.32
4th- 1.00
Brake Bias- 72.0:28.0
Brake Pressure- 90%
Steering Trim- 2.5
Steering Lock- 5.0
Hope that helps you guys. Many experienced racers might say that the gear differential is too low and the 4th gear is too high. But, this is an excellent setup to start with. If you get the hang of this setup and want to be faster, make your differential a little higher and 4th gear a little lower.
Experiment with the gears. I am currently running a 3 gear setup with an optional 4th gear. Basically, on 8 lap Daytona races, I can run 95% tape. My 3rd gear is perfect- but it does have a high RPM number, which means the engine temp goes up. So I run my 3rd gear on the first lap, run 4th gear (lower RPM's) on laps 2-6 and I run my 3rd gear again on laps 7&8. Experiment in practice a little and you might be able to surprise yourself.
