Well I guess we won't be testing together...Give me a day or so and I will get my Daytona setup where I want it and give it to you here.. We can't test together because I am on PS3
Rebelboy: I know the purpose of this website. I am not here to down anyone. When I take a setup I will be honest with my results and I will tell person what I thought was wrong with it. I take peoples setups, therefore I want to give back. I hope that I have a future here and can help beginners.
You know, it would be great to see you get some hosting and domain name and make this like THE SETUPS SITE.. I used to do that sort of thing, but with Final Fanstay. You could call it racingsetups.com or something Since you can't use Nascar. If that is something you are interested in I would be happy to help you out. I have a Bulletin Boards license I can dig up.

anyone else given this a try?
I didn't say this in my first post but I use this setup with a controller; I don't have a wheel. If that make a difference.

I'll give it a try this week. Last night, I ran a 46.4 draft and topped out at 208 mph for my fastest lap. I came in second, when we finished, several of us noticed that my fastest lap time was recorded at 37.6... darn!!! We all thought that was kind of funny.

Thanks for this setup! I've used it online in 3 races, 2 at daytona (I won one and get spun out of the lead on last lap of the other, and once at talladega, which was really good just had to take wedge down a little).
One thing i cant get is that you say you got a 48.2 and what not....when all i can get is 48.5 - 48.6 without draft. Is that 48.2 with draft? If so then thats easy...
Can you clarify this for me please?

I ran it without. My new setup's best time is 47.833! (without draft- 46.565 with draft) I am running mostly the same suspension as that one I posted, but I changed it to a 3 gear setup. Something you could try if you have time.

Turn your setting to "HARDCORE". I also use manual shifting, really don't know if that makes a difference but its fun. My restarts aren't bad, starting off in 2nd I usually get bumped from someone behind as I’m winding out 2nd gear (7300 rpms) into 3rd. Once I hit 3rd, I’m gone.
Enjoy!!

Try changing out your splitter to 6.0 and lower you tire pressure on the left side.

That should make you slower..
I tend to run faster with my split at 4. When it is at 6 you can draft really well, but you cannot hold the lead. It is impossible for one car to pass me by myself because I have my splitter at 4.
Lowering the tire pressure should also make the car slower... but I havent messed too much with the tire pressure on this setup.
Let me know how it works!

yea lowering tire pressure increases traction but lowers speed a little i believe.....

Well if you feel comfortable with the car's handling, then you might be able to up the tire pressure. Try it and see.

my splitter is at 6 and i'm running a 48 flat and so far in the draft it's been 46.3. I had my splitter at 4 and never ran those times. Maybe we should try splitting the difference and see what happens.

Maybe I'm missing something but there's no way I can set the rear wing to 0. It's set in place at 10 or 12 degrees; whatever the default setting is for Daytona.
I can run a 47.9-48.2 consistently with my setup, but I see people maxing out at top speeds of 200 mph while running alone (I only get to 196-197). If there's a way to set the rear wing to 0 I'd love to know how because I try clicking on it to go lower and nothing happens.
BTW, my engine is maxed out to 100% and the rest of the settings are at 90%. Actually, my car was a bit faster when the engine was at 100% and aerodynamics, suspension, etc. were at 50%. Go figure that one out.
Tips anyone? Ace?
